LOC meets for the first time

The Local Organising Committee (LOC) of the National Biosafety and Biosecurity Summit (NBBS) 2026 held its first meeting under the National Biosafety Management Agency (NBMA).

Members reviewed the work ahead for the one-day summit on 26 November 2026 at the Banquet Hall, Presidential Villa, Abuja — programme, logistics, communications and stakeholder engagement.

5th LOC meeting

The fifth meeting of the Local Organising Committee for NBBS 2026 was chaired by the Director-General / Chief Executive Officer of the National Biosafety Management Agency, Dr. Fatima Suleiman-Zuntu.

The Committee reviewed progress on the programme, venue arrangements at the Banquet Hall, Presidential Villa, Abuja, communications and registration for the summit on 26 November 2026.

Dr. Suleiman-Zuntu directed that planning stay aligned with the Agency’s mandate and that updates continue to be issued through the official summit channels.

Expression of interest is open for in-person and hybrid attendance. Seats at the Banquet Hall, Presidential Villa, Abuja are limited.

The venue provides a distinguished setting for national dialogue on laboratory biosafety, biosecurity and multi-sector collaboration. Hybrid participation options will be supported via the official YouTube livestream.
